Q. What is Yummybay?
Ans. Yummybay is a holistic food solutions portal where in it not only allows you to search and locate restaurant of your choice but also takes orders/reservations on your behalf. This site allows users to place orders or book tables across 100+ restaurants serving over 40 cuisines and 20000+ dishes all over Kerala currently.

Q. Why should I use Online Ordering instead of phone orders?

Ans. Online ordering has several advantages compared to telephone ordering. Firstly, You will not receive any busy signal, you will not be put on hold, and your order will be send to the restaurant exactly the way you have ordered (precise to the dot). You can see the entire menu online instead of asking the restaurant to speak out the entire menu to you. It’s much easier to inform restaurants about long and extensive orders online than over the phone to avoid mistakes. You would be able to choose from a wide array of restaurants and make informed decisions about the restaurants using user ratings and by reading reviews about them. In case of table reservation, you would be able to locate the restaurant on Yummybay. In case you would still want to place the order on phone, Yummybay customer care executive will give you assistance in choosing restaurants that you can place the order from. Our Customer Care will also help you to know which restaurant specializes in what, what have been the feedbacks of customers etc.

Q. Do I need to pay extra to use this site?
Ans. No, you do not need to pay anything extra for using this site. However, the home delivery charge may vary from restaurant to restaurant. The menu page mentions the delivery charges of the restaurant if any.

Q. Do I need to be a member on the site to order?
Ans. Yes, you need to sign up with us to order food online, it’s simple and free. Where as in the case of restaurant directory you don’t need to login or be a member.

Q. How do I place an order?
Ans. It’s Very Simple, Just Follow The Instruction Below
Input your area (i.e. palarivattom) or restaurant (i.e. yummybay (demo) in the 1st search box that you can see here to the right.
On the 2nd box select between online food ordering or restaurant directory
Click the “Search” button.
You’ll be redirected to a page showing all the restaurants that are listed with us in your area. Choose the restaurant you want to order from and select:
On their page you can see their menu, description, images, reviews & video.
To order food, Select the items of your choice and click on the '+' button on the right to add to cart.
You can view your order on the right side under 'your order'.
Click on the order button
Login using your ID and Password
Fill in the details given in the form and select between delivery/collection mode and payment options i.e. card payment/payment on delivery.
Now, submit your order. The restaurant will get in touch with you instantly to confirm your order.

Q. What do “delivery” and “collection” mean?
Ans. Delivery: this means you are ordering the food online and it will be delivered by the restaurant directly to your doorstop…Just sit back and relax, it’ll be there in no time Collection: this means that you will order the food online but you will go and collect it at the restaurant. It’s great if you are at work, about to leave, and you are passing by your favourite restaurant on the way home! Just order from your workplace and expect it to be ready at the restaurant in 15-20 minutes!

Q. How do I make payments for the food that I order?
Ans. We offer both online payments via credit/debit cards and also payment on delivery. The food that you order will be delivered to your address along with the bill. This bill would include the delivery charge (if any). In case of payment on delivery, you can pay the amount directly to the delivery boy.

Q. What address should I use for placing orders? Can it be my office address?
Ans. The address that you mention has to be the place where you want the food to be delivered.

Q. Is there a guaranteed delivery time?

Ans. Yummybay does not take any responsibility for the time of delivery since it depends on the weather, traffic, the kind of dish ordered etc. The delivery is guaranteed. You can call us 0484-6060000 in case the order is delayed so that we can do a follow-up on the order. Please note that it’s the restaurants that do delivery.

Q. What do I do in case there is some problem with my order?

Ans. Please call us at our customer support number 0484-6060000. Our executives will assist you with any problems or doubts.

Q. I have placed an order for “collection” but I meant to place it for “delivery”, what now?
Ans. Give us a call ASAP on 0484 6060000, we will contact the restaurant and ask them if they are able to deliver it instead. Should there be any problems, we’ll get in touch with you right away!

Q. Do I need to tip the delivery boys?
Ans. No, you do not need to tip the delivery boys

Q. Why is the phone number mandatory?
Ans. Phone number is mandatory for us so that the restaurant can call you to confirm or clarify your order or address. Also, in case something that you have ordered is not available or if the order is going to be delayed under some circumstances, we can let you know over the phone. So please provide us with a number where you would be available (preferably your cell phone number).

Q. My food wasn’t delivered and I paid by card, can I have a refund?
Ans. You definitely can, just get your order number ready (or your order details such as the restaurant name and the time you placed the order at) give us a call at 0484 6060000 and let us know. After we have confirmed with the restaurant that the order was not delivered, we will refund your money.

Q. I was due a refund but I never received it?
Ans. First of all, Please check whether your money EVER LEFT your account? What happens is, whenever you make an online purchase, the money is RESERVED and not TAKEN from your account. If a request for a refund is sent on the same day, it is possible that the RESERVATION gets cancelled and therefore the money will simply not leave your account at all. Therefore, it is most likely that the money has never left the account at all and so it may seem as if you are not receiving the refund. In that case, it will not show a “refund item” on your statement.

If your money HAS been taken out of your account and you have not received a refund, contact us immediately at 0484 6060000 and we will look into the matter. If a restaurant is unable to fulfill your order we will refund your money within a maximum of 14 working days.

Ans. 'Add To Favorites’ is a list of restaurants that are your favorite and you frequently order from. You can order food/book tables at your favorite restaurant without having to search for it. You need to be signed in to use this feature.

Q. How do I add a restaurant to my favourites?
Ans. On the menu page you would find a link on the top right corner to "Add to Favorites". You need to be signed in to add a restaurant to your favorite list.

Q. What is 'One Click Ordering'?
Ans. You can always repeat your orders without having to search and add to cart. Instead you can save your orders to 'favorite orders' and just click 'order now' on your profile to place the same order again!

Q. Can I order from abroad to my home town (Gift a Food)?
Ans. Yes you can, you can surprise your loved ones on occasions that matter to you the most. All you have to do is order from a restaurant of your choice in your home town/locality and place the order. Please note that payment for such orders can be done only via card.
