The performance of the team was at the peak given the pressure and the other political influences in the match. The team itself will be proud of the fact that they have come a long way and has improved their performance in every match that follows, impeccable fielding was one another thing that the team has picked up, learning from their past mistakes. Another change in the team is the disciplined bowling that the seamers have done, Nehra after his toll against the South Africans has definitely bowled with good line and length also getting the occasional reverse swing that led the batsmen to play unorthodox shots which led to the downfall of pakistani batsmen.

Another crucial player in the match was Sachin the god of cricket himself being blessed on several occasion to play an innings that put India on the forefront of the match. The pitch also had something for the spinners, as yuvraj and bhajji bowled amazingly well to restrict the run flow for pakistan. Overall it was a team performance at Mohali by the Indian team and a performance that we all expect the team to repeat in Mumbai and win the cup for India!!
